I am passionate about using my skills in marketing strategy and content creation to help organizations reach their goals. I've worked for the National Park Service, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Hotel Ezra Cornell, Cornell Undergraduate Research Board, and independent clients.
The following are examples of my past work in marketing and communications. My resume is available at the bottom of the page.
I led a team in creating a brand strategy and social media campaign ("Make HerStory") for the launch of a woman-owned vintage clothing business. We worked iteratively with the client to define brand standards, values, and aesthetic to ensure that our recommendations fit her vision and were actionable. In addition to overseeing in all aspects of the audience research and campaign development, I also designed the new logo and brand marks based on the image of the brand's founder.
I was the sole graphic designer for the first Hotel Ezra Cocktails cookbook. Worked closely with Beverage Director to bring his vision to life for displaying his recipes. Over 300 cocktail books were printed and distributed as guest amenities at the 94th annual Hotel Ezra Cornell conference.
I worked with the HR department to develop a social media advertising campaign to increase hiring efforts for the Beatrice State Developmental Center. The campaign focused on the meaningfulness of the work and the facility's proximity to the local community. I managed the on-site photoshoot with BSDC employees, campaign development, and digital asset creation.
I created educational videos to provide insights into my experience in the International Baccalaureate program and Hotel School at Cornell University. I determined the target audience, positioned video content, and built a strong audience. Joined YouTube Partner Program (monetization) after 6 months.
I worked with a graphic designer to create informational safety graphics for the National Park Service. I drafted communications messaging based on goals from the Office of Risk Management. I conducted audience analysis through secondary data to better understand fall foliage tourists' needs and increase the relevancy of the communication.
I created educational, informational graphics and content for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. All content aimed at promoting health best practices during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic (Summer 2020).
The graphic to the left was designed for Facebook as part of a campaign to increase mask-wearing. I photographed and Photoshopped all images in addition to designing the graphic.
I filmed and edited videos promoting Cornell Undergraduate Research Board (CURB)'s Science Center outreach programs. This video was designed to promote the outreach program internally to increase participation from CURB members.
I filmed, scripted, and edited a virtual tour of the Suzzallo Library Reading Room. This video was used as experimental stimuli in my graduate research.
